Der bisherige Karriereverlauf der britischen Boyband One Direction gehört ohne Zweifel zu den erstaunlichsten und spannendsten Erfolgs-Stories der jüngeren Popgeschichte. Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson und Niall Horan begegneten sich erstmals 2010, als sie als Solo-Sänger in der britischen TV-Show X Factor gegeneinander antraten.
